Biography

Dr. Sherin Moideen is a dynamic physician leader with a passion for understanding the interdependencies between the brain, body and healing. Experienced in delivering psychiatric care across multiple patient settings including inpatient units, community practice, telemedicine, collegiate environments, emergency consults, and outpatient facilities with varying patient acuity levels. Recognized advocate for increasing access to mental health telemedicine services, refinements in insurance coverage, and prior authorization reform.

Having obtained a first degree in Biology and Physics (BS) from Mount Allison University, she completed her doctoral training at Ross University School of Medicine. Dr. Sherin Moideen is highly experienced in the assessment and treatment of depression, anxiety, substance misuse, personality disorder, eating disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, adjustment disorder and relationship difficulties. She works with both individuals and couples and can offer therapy in English and Greek.

Personal Experience

Dr. Sherin Moideen has demonstrated skill in teaching and mentoring physician trainees and medical students, curriculum development, and scholarly pursuits. Institutional leader for employee wellness, including efforts to proactively identify and prevent healthcare worker burnout. Fellowship trained in consultation-liaison psychiatry with an expertise in women’s mental health and reproductive psychiatry.
