OR
A 45-minute regular prolonged follow up visits and therapy sessions with us. The 45-minute therapy sessions are generally weekly or bimonthly recurring appointments.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT has been recognized as an effective form of therapy for common psychiatric conditions. CBT tries to help improve a current problem or distress by learning to recognize and address unhelpful thought patterns and behavior that are contributing to the problem. It utilizes problem solving to change thinking pattern and behaviors, learn coping skills and gain confidence over one’s ability to alleviate distress.
Supportive Psychotherapy
Regular talk therapy that focuses on guidance and reinforcement of a patient’s strengths. It may include psychoeducation, and behavioral goal setting. Patients are encouraged to develop coping skills and resources to improve self-esteem and reduce distressing symptoms.
Psychodynamic psychotherapy
Focuses on working with a therapist to better understand the potential psychological roots (unconscious thoughts or feelings) to current emotional distress by exploring childhood experiences, relationship patterns, emotions, feelings, and defense mechanisms. By understanding these better, we hope to alleviate symptoms that may be distressing, or impacting certain aspects of life.
